The process usually starts with a phone call or an email. If you email use you will get an email answering your questions along with the process and pricing. From there we would need to set up a time to chat on the phone. No appointments will be scheduled without chatting on the phone first. There are many reasons for this and one of the biggest is that over the years I found that people usually skim through the email and it’s important that we are all on the same page. I will go over the best time of day to have your family’s portrait taken, the cost of the portraits, and the process of how you will view the images. What separates us from other photography companies is that we like to show you the images in person. This way we can go over retouching, cropping and to make sure you can get a good look at everyone’s expressions before your beach portrait is printed. We can even do a head switch while we are there if you don’t like someone in the portrait. What takes an hour in person can take weeks, months, and sometimes years to decide when photographers post them online. I’ve heard stories from clients who used photographers and never ordered any images because they only posted the images online. We will show you the images while you are still on vacation at the shore or if you live in New Jersey we will come to your home and show them to you after your vacation. If somebody can’t make the viewing appointment we will first narrow them down together and post the favorite beach portraits for everyone to see.
