For over twenty-three years I’ve been up and down the New Jersey coastline photographing families and children on the beaches of the Jersey Shore. Although most of the portraits are captured on LBI I do travel to most of the beaches in NJ. Photographing families has always been my favorite type of photography and the reason for that has little to do with the photography itself. I take great pride in capturing people’s family heirlooms that will be past down from generation to generation. Often when I photograph large groupos it’s the first time everyone is together or it may be the last time everyone is together mostly be cause of logistics. Because of career moves often families aren’t all within driving 
distance to each other which makes the portraits I capture of the extended families even more important. Which is why it’s importrant for you to do your due dilligence and commision a photographer that that is seasoned enough to capture your family heirloom without any excuses.
