What to Look for When Hiring an LBI Family Photographer?

It depends upon what your situation is. For instance, if you have a group of ten people or more, you want to ensure that the photographer you are hiring for your LBI portraits has many examples of extended family beach portraits. Furthermore, if you want more of a fun candid approach or a combination of everything, make sure the photographer you hire has examples of the style you desire.

Here we will go over how your beach portrait session most likely will go down. First off, we will come to the beach closest to you. Furthermore, Rob will often come inside your house fifteen minutes before the session to introduce himself to everyone, especially younger children. As a result, they will be more comfortable with him during the LBI beach portrait session.

Rob starts with the essential grouping, typically the largest grouping. Grandparents, grandkids, children all together in one portrait. This grouping is typically ten to thirty people. Rob typically gets the youngest of the kids done first; whatever grouping there is what we do starts with the most critical group.

The Breakdowns

After all the groups are completed, your Long Beach Island photographer, Rob Wilson, typically makes many suggestions. He also takes on a photojournalistic approach, such as a couple of pictures, the original family, just the men, and just the women. At this time, many families decide to get into the ocean for an outstanding grand finale.  Contact us at your convenience if you would like more information.

Family Photographer Long Beach Island

Rob Wilson is a Long Beach Island Photographer. There are many reasons why you should have family beach photos taken. First and foremost, it’s a legacy heirloom for you to have to pass down from generation to generation. As you know, children and grandchildren grow up in a blink of an eye. One day, you see them for the first time at the hospital, and the next, they are off to college. Someone once told me that when my kids were young, my wife and I were going through many sleepless nights that the days go by short and the years go by fast. Let me tell you, that hit me like a sack of bricks. I know most of us can relate.

Long beach island family beach photos are a great way to freeze those moments in time. One thing is for sure; you’ll never get tired of seeing your family portraits displayed around your home. After all, it is what helps make a house a home.

Family Beach Pictures on Long Beach Island Beach

It’s undoubtedly a special session to photograph. Many of the families I photograph are multiple generations, making what I do fun. The grandparents, children, and grandchildren all in one picture simultaneously is a precious portrait to have. The extended families vacation on Long Beach Island and decide to have beach portraits taken. We all reach an age where we look for value more than items. From what I can tell, grandparents realize that more than most. Their grandchildren can do no wrong. Furthermore, there’s nothing else they want more than a LBI family photo of everyone together at this stage in their life. Call Long Beach Island Photographer, Rob Wilson today.

LBI Family Beach Portraits

Many families vacation at the beach through the summer months with their extended families. As a result, often, they decide to have a family portrait taken by a professional photographer. Usually, this is the first time everyone is together, and sometimes it’s the last time they’ll be together because of logistics. Unfortunately, many families don’t live close to each other or on the same work schedule. This means it’s hard for them to be under the same roof simultaneously. However, when they can be together, it’s often at the beach for a family vacation. For this reason, I am busy all summer photographing families on the beaches of the Jersey Shore.

Family Photographers on Long Beach Island

The family beach photo session itself is fun for my clients and me. Let’s face it, and often there are many different age ranges. From infants to senior citizens and every age in-between, even the terrible two age, makes for a lot of fun chaos. That’s right; I’ll admit it, fun chaos! Hey, if all of these sessions were easy, why would you need me? My photography professor once said, “if it were easy, everyone would be doing it.” There’s a reason why most don’t end up sticking with family portraits. You have to love it to be good at it, and I love it. Contact Rob Wilson Photography if you are looking for a Long Beach Island Photographer.

During the session, I take the most important photo of the evening. I know every family portrait combination is essential, but we decide what will be taken before the session. I like to get the small kids done first because young children can get sand in their eyes at any time, making it difficult to continue. As a result, I work fast and neat. The most crucial family beach photo is usually of the largest group, and then I work my way down to do all the combinations.

LBI Beach Pictures Family Combinations

Of course, I’ll photograph each family often. I’ll get a combination of posed and candid pictures. I usually take each family’s children without the parents and individuals. If there are young children, I like to get them done first before having enough picture taking. It also makes sense for me to jump from one family to another, then back to the other family. It’s all about playing it safe and getting essential beach photos done first. A portrait of all the cousins is also a nice image to get. Of course, secretly, all the grandchildren and grandparents are the grandparent’s favorite pictures.

One of my favorite ways of ending each family beach photo session is to photograph all the couples. From posed to a photojournalistic approach, it doesn’t take long to capture many beautiful images. It’s an excellent way to wind down the session, and there are usually a lot of laughs.

Displaying Your Family Portraits

There are many ways of displaying your family beach photos. Many choose to hang at least one canvas wall portrait on their wall. A popular place is either over the fireplace or couch. From there, they place tabletop-sized images around their home, including their bedroom.

Another way is to have a family beach photo album created. This is a great way to get all of the picture combinations together. Best of all, these albums are mobile. Many of our clients get a smaller album to bring around as a brag book. Images on the phone don’t display away. Furthermore, they look beautiful displayed on a table top-sized easel in your home.

 Just Do It

Long Beach Island family beach portraits are also an excellent gift for the grandparents.
